In this tutorial, you’ll find an introduction to StoryMapJS. No specialist knowledge or computer expertise are required.

This tutorial is for you if you want to create an online exhibition which tells a story based around a map. This tutorial is particularly aimed at historians and history students.

A storymap presents a story or idea around a map. Storymaps and story panoramas are used by researchers, journalists, curators, educators, students, and others who want to communicate information in a visual way.

This tutorial uses StoryMapJS by KnightLab. This web authoring tool is simple and intuitive, and it can be used for free on the internet. If you can use presentation software like PowerPoint, you will be able to use StoryMapJS.
